FULL MOON RITUALS

Mystical Moon - how it effects our Body

Every 28-30 days, the universe invites us to pause and ask ourselves what we’re manifesting in our lives. And it does so through the arrival of the monthly full moon. The next Full moon is on the 5th of June.

I don't know about you, but the full moon effects get me every time full on.

One or two days before full moon I feel less energised, my body stores more water, I feel bloaty and moody and I have trouble with finding a good sleep. Are you familiar with those "symptoms"? Back when I was not very much aware of the connection between the moon and the earth and all its inhabitants, I was getting very frustrated and I turned it always back to my menstrual cycle (wich is guess what? jap, also connected with the moon)

In fact the moon effects us all the time, during full moon we are getting more involved with its action.

As women we have additional senses of rhythm that connect us to the cycles of the moon. Each month, a woman’s body has the ability to cleanse and rejuvenate itself through her menses. It used to be in traditional cultures, that women would menstruate together during the dark night of the new moon. During this time they would gather to support one another in a journey of deep introspection.

Read here more about how to connect with your divine feminine Energy.

An end and a new beginning

In astrological terms, moon phases begin with the new moon and end with the full moon—meaning that the end of the lunar cycle is a time when the seeds of intention you planted (unconsciously or not) are starting to bloom. It’s almost as if the universe tells us to stop—or at least slow down—for a few days to learn more about the path we are on and course-correct, if necessary. In fact the whole moon cycle effects us in a certain way unconsciously.

Since full moon your full moon rituals—how you choose to spend this full moon—should feel a little conclusive, a little reflective. Rather than jumping into the next new thing, focus on what you have done, where you have been, how you haves pent the most recent lunar cycle. What seeds have you sown? What benefits have you reaped? What’s worth letting go of, and what’s worth clinging to? Full moon rituals are at their best when they involve evaluation, assessment, cleansing and recharging. Revel in calm for a brief moment, and save the energy for the next new moon—it’ll be here before you know it

In essence, full moons are nourishing. Think about it: the moon, symbolic of the feminine, receives the light of the sun, shining it back to us with illumination. When the moon is full, its strong gravitational pull on the Earth makes for a time of peak creative energy and incredibly powerful intuitive breakthroughs. It’s about embodiment. The full moon emphasise everything that you’ve been working on during the its phase. Take time to reflect on what the full moon brings up for you.

Rituals

A really beautiful way to honour & celebrating the full moon

Here are just a few Ritual Ideas you can incorporate with the next full moon.

cleanse your Home:

Cleanse negative energy from your home by burning Palo Santo or Sage.

These herbs and resins have long been used in ceremonial practices. When burned, these precious tools emit a smoke known to clear negative energies, connect us with the our higher consciousness and create all around high vibes.

Manifestation :

List your manifestations and write them down on a piece of Paper.

Let the spirit of the evening move you! Burn that piece of Paper and set it as a new Intention for the upcoming month. This one is simple and so beautiful.

Face the Moon:

Go outside at night and let the light of the moon shine upon you. Let her light nourish your soul and feel the power of the Moon.

Practicing Moon Namaskar:

Chandra Namaskar is a quieting sequence that invites you to bow to and cultivate the moon's soothing lunar energy. See below in video how it works.

Gather with other Women

Women’s circles are gatherings of women for women. Due to alleged similarities between lunar cycles and female cycles, historically the moon has been seen as harnessing a lot of power for women. It's why traditionally a full moon was seen as prime time for women to gather and grow awareness of their cycles. To this day, circles are a “supportive environment” in which women can be heard, held and seen without judgment. For more Informations about my Moonchild Women's Circle and to join click here.

Happy Full moon!

Love and Light,

Celine
